Who we are

LandClearingAndExcavation.com is a cost-research and contractor-referral website operated by Choose4Choice, a company based in India. Shaikh Soheel Ahmed is accountable for this site and for the handling of the data described on this page.

The site is written for and serves the United States only. We are a marketing and referral platform — we do not perform land work, and we are not a contractor.

For anything on this page, including a deletion request, write to info@landclearingandexcavation.com. Email is our contact channel; we do not operate a phone line.

What we collect, and when

When you request quotes

The quote form is the only place on this site where we ask you for personal information. When you submit it, we record:

• Your name — required.
• Your email address — required.
• Your phone number — optional. Leave it blank and contractors will email you instead.
• Your ZIP code — required. This is what decides which contractors see your job.
• What you need done — the free-text box. Whatever you choose to put in it.
• The page you submitted from, and the service, city and state that page was about.
• The date and time of the submission, and the page that referred you to us.

We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, government ID, bank details, card number or Social Security number. No page on this site has a field for any of them. Nobody legitimately acting for us will ever ask you for them by email.

When you visit any page

We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which guides get read. It records the usual measurement data — approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived. We do not use it to build advertising audiences and we do not run any advertising pixel on this site.

Our host also keeps standard server logs of requests, which include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.

If you are a contractor with an account

The contractor portal collects what you enter when you sign up and complete a profile: company name, contact name, email address, phone number, website, city and state, years in business, licence details, and a description of your business. Your password is stored only as a hash — we never see or store the password itself.

Profile information you submit for publication is intended to be shown publicly on this site once approved. That is the point of a listing. Your login email and password are not published.

Why we use it

• To get you quotes. Your project details go to licensed contractors who work in your area. This is the service you asked for.
• To answer you. If you email us a question or a correction, we use your address to reply.
• To count and improve. Aggregate analytics tell us which guides are useful and which are not.
• To keep the site working and honest. Server logs, spam filtering, and the record of which pages produce enquiries.

We do not use your information to build an advertising profile, and we do not send marketing newsletters. If that ever changes, it will be something you opt into, not something we assume.

Who we share it with

Licensed partner contractors in the United States. When you submit the quote form, the details you gave us are passed to contractors who work in your county so they can prepare a quote. They contact you directly. They are independent businesses, not our employees, and once they have your details they are responsible for how they handle them under their own privacy practices.

Service providers who operate the site for us — our web host, our email provider and Google Analytics. They process data on our instructions in order to run the site.

Where the law requires it — a valid legal request, or where we need to protect the site or someone's safety.

That is the complete list. We do not sell your personal information, we do not rent mailing lists, and we do not share your details for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Consent to be contacted

By submitting the quote form you are asking to be contacted about your project, and you agree that licensed partner contractors may contact you at the phone number and email address you provided — including by phone call and by text message — about the job you described.

This is not a condition of any purchase, and you can stop it at any time: reply STOP to a text, tell the contractor on the call, or email info@landclearingandexcavation.com and we will remove your record from our side. Message and data rates may apply to texts you receive.

If you would rather not be called, leave the phone field blank. It is optional, and contractors will use email instead.

How long we keep it

• Quote requests: 24 months from submission, then deleted. We keep them that long because the record of which pages produced enquiries is how we decide what to write next.
• Emails you send us: as long as the conversation is useful, and no more than 24 months after it ends.
• Contractor accounts: for as long as the account is open, and 12 months after it is closed.
• Analytics: retained by Google under its own schedule; our property is configured to the shortest retention Google offers.
• Server logs: short-term, per our host's standard configuration.

Ask us to delete sooner and we will, as described below.

Your choices

Whoever and wherever you are, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you.
• Correct it if it is wrong.
• Delete it.
• Stop contacting you, and stop passing your details to anyone else.

Email info@landclearingandexcavation.com from the address you used, so we can find the right record. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for this and we will not make you jump through hoops for it.

If you are in California, the rights above are the substance of what the CCPA gives you, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. As stated above, we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the deletion and access rights apply in full and you will not be treated differently for using them.

One limit we have to be honest about: once a contractor has received your enquiry, we cannot delete it from their systems. We will delete our copy and tell you which contractors received it so you can ask them directly.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted the form, email us and we will delete the record.

Where your information goes

We operate from India and our partner contractors are in the United States, so information you submit is processed in both. Submitting the form means you understand it will be handled that way. We apply the same practices described on this page wherever the data sits.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. Passwords in the contractor portal are hashed, never stored in readable form. Quote submissions are stored in a location that is not reachable from the web.

No system is perfect and we are not going to claim ours is. What we can say is that we collect as little as the service needs, which is the only security measure that never fails.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes to sharing will be described here in plain terms rather than buried in a redefinition.
